In his distinct and stunning style, deDecker creates a lively, vivacious still-life. A colorful spread of flowers fills the foreground. Soft, sandy shores and pale blue water cut the midground and diversify the landscape. A teepee sits tucked from the viewer and a figure walks the shore in the distance. Trees fade into pastels in the background, blending with wispy clouds. Small swipes of paint create dainty flowers and engaging textures. Though the landscape is completely feasible, the color palette makes the scene feel fantastical.
