Two figures etched in harsh lines brace against the biting conditions of a hazy shade of winter. The grittiness of the task at hand is best represented in the figure on the left, clad in monochrome, hair slightly wild, and rifle at the ready. His companion stands more at ease, tending relaxedly to the saddle, bow slung over the shoulder, hair neatly swept back, and decorated in controlled, colorful stripes. The empty horizon and muted tones of the setting conveys a sense of placelessness.
