The somewhat Mediterranean spread smacks of post-impressionism in the Cezanne vein. Stylized and slightly skewed bottles, glasses, and ambiguously detailed glasses adorn a haphazardly shaped table. The open window at which the table sits betrays a Southwestern setting with the potted cacti and pale desert beyond. That neither the table nor the window are portrayed in full suggests the immediacy of the setting and invites the viewer to join in communion.
