A San Francisco street scene overlooking the famous Nob Hill and highlighting the Thirteen Sixty Jones, the towering Comstock and the Crest Royal apartment buildings in the distance. Maggiori depicts a calm clear day painted in front of the 1650 Jones Street apartments on the corner of Jones St and Broadway in the Northeastern corner of the city. Facing south and slightly east, the scene was painted in the late afternoon with the sun beginning to set in the west.
