Lake Louise is imbued in autumnal hues, bathed in the warm, smoky sunlight that penetrates the mist shrouding the distant peaks. The indistinct shapes of the mountains are given a choppy clarity in their reflection on the tranquil waters of the lake. The use of color and light creates an ethereal atmosphere that transforms this slice of the Canadian Rockies into an idyllic state.
