The rustic charm of a small cabin is perfectly captured as it nestles within a cozy cluster of bare trees. In the heart of a serene field, situated against the majestic backdrop of the Porterville, Utah mountains, the structure is isolated yet inviting.
Stewart was a Utah painter and designer who lived for ninety-nine years, and is believed to have completed about 700 paintings, most of them oils. His work is in the collections of the Postmaster General's Office in Washington DC, the University of Utah Museum of Fine Arts, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ Church History Museum, and Southern State Utah State College.
