Ocean waves crash against the shore beneath an unruly sky. Amidst the uneasiness, brilliant sunlight breaks through storm clouds and illuminates the water below. Seagulls bravely fly along cliff faces. In the center of the painting lies a translucent ball—a glass float, once used by fishermen to keep their nets afloat. The scene is complex and breathtaking.
