A large bison stands over its calf in a grassy clearing. The grass is dense, and small flowers sprout around the duo, suggesting new and growing life; however, there are also reminders of life’s ultimate decline. A tree lies decaying in the background while the mother bison shows signs of wear across her hide and exhaustion in her stance. The viewer is reminded that life is fleeting, but that it is beautiful in all of its stages.
