“This painting is from an experience I had here in Star Valley feeding my horses in the wintertime. When I would go out in the morning to throw them their hay, they were so focused on getting that hay. They were always very alert, watching my every move, never taking their eyes off the hay until I threw it in. It was easy to tell their minds were on nothing else.”
