The Grand Canyon stands in its majesty under soft, cool morning light. The monument’s famously red and orange rocks appear beige, gray, and even blue in this distinct interpretation of dawn over the canyon. Large birds, perhaps some of the many rare species for which the park is known, fly at the forefront of the scene. Trees and cliffs in the foreground increase the sense of depth in the image, heightening the grandeur of the landscape that extends far into the horizon.
