Vivid bursts of color spread through the perfect tranquility of this soft watercolor scene done in brilliant pastels. Shape melts into bright color in the trees on the opposite shore and fade into the shimmering pond, while trunks and branches cut delicately through the daubs of color. The leaves in the foreground are painted with fine detail.
