One of Buff's most desirable scenes, Deer Park catches the eye and is drawn to the bright, sunlit field across the lake where several deer graze and tall trees turn gold. However, there is also life in the foreground. A fawn grazes along the water, attended by its guardian who watches the distant herd. A few small rodents scamper around the scene. The artist’s short, obvious brushstrokes add a distinct texture to the scene.
